What to Expect from Dog Training Sessions

When it comes to dog obedience training it’s important to ask yourself, as a pet owner, what exactly do you want from your training sessions?

  • Basic obedience – “I’m looking for my dog to learn the basics. Come, sit, stay, down, give, wait, and walk on the leash nicely”.
Group sessions are great for allowing your dog to work alongside distractions while also offering socialisation.
  • Advanced Obedience – “My dog already knows the basics and I’m looking to continue their knowledge and language we share.”
This can include; off-leash training, training with hand commands, distance training, refusing food from strangers.
  • Problem Solving Training – “My dog has a problem with aggression, jumping, digging, destructive behaviour, barking, leash walking, inter-dog aggression (etc) and I would like some advanced help to solve the problem.”
This is when one-on-one will benefit your pet hugely in terms of what training is needed to understand and control the problem behaviour. You will work alongside a professional trainer to help you understand the issue.
  • Guard Dog Training – “I want my dog to learn to work security or guard my property.” This is specialised training and will need to be evaluated by a professional guard dog trainer, Available at the Guard Dog Training Centre
  • Servicing Sydney, Newcastle, PenrithWollongong and more.
